Federal job application forms

Applying for a Federal job can now be done based on a written application with resume, the Application for Federal Employment Form or any other written type of documentation. The SF-171 form is no longer in use.

If the job in question requires special skills other forms may be asked for by the agency in question. Electronic standard forms may be fillable online for printing.

You may apply for most Federal jobs with a resume, an Optional Application for Federal Employment (OF 612), or other written format.
